Adding Video/GIF In Email Templates

Modified on Tue, 7 Feb, 2023 at 11:25 PM

The idea of including a video in your email message is an amazing method to grab your audience's attention by including original and engaging content. When you include videos in your emails, it enhances the quality of the message and increases the customer engagement. A majority of people prefer video over text to learn and gain knowledge of new products or services. But the problem comes when the email operators (gmail, yahoo, outlook) do not support embedded videos in the emails. The recipient won’t be able to see video in a mail or such email may even land in a spam folder.

Thankfully, NotifyVisitors provides a solution that will allow you to embed video within your email and encourage readers click-through the URL and watch the video. A video can be attached to an email far more easily than you might think. Let's look at how to accomplish that here.

Adding Video In Email Templates

Navigate to Campaigns > Email templates.

Click on create a new template.

Choose the Drag and Drop Editor.

Now click on Create Design. The following screen shall follow.

Find the Video Tool and drag and drop it over the blank space towards the left.

The above modal shall follow. Click on add a valid URL  and paste the URL of the required video.

Give it a title and select the required play icon type, play icon colour and play icon size from the drop down menu.

 Now, click on save.

The email template is saved and can be used in the email campaigns.

Adding GIF In Email Template

To add a GIF to the email template, download the required GIF to your PC and proceed as per the following steps:

Navigate to Campaigns > Email templates.

Click on create a new template.

Choose the Drag and Drop Editor.

 Now click on Create Design.

Drag and Drop the Image Tool from the contents.

Click on Browse > my files.

Click on the upload option and open the required GIF.

Choose the GIF you added and click on insert.

Also, you can directly add the pre-uploaded GIFs through my files > insert.

 Click on Save.

The email design can be saved to My Templates and can be used in further email campaigns.
