How to create a Whatsapp campaign

Steps to create a Whatsapp Campaign in NotifyVisitors

To create a successful Whatsapp campaign, follow the steps laid down below:

  1. Go to NotifyVisitors Dashboard > Campaigns.
  2. Click on “create campaign” and select Whatsapp.

  1. A new modal shall appear where you specify details of your campaign under the following heads namely-recipients, content, review, and send/schedule.

  1. Setup the Recipients step

  • Enter campaign information such as campaign name, campaign Label. To know more about campaign labels please refer to the article “Campaign Labels in NotifyVisitors”.
  • Specify the audience for your campaign-” send to all users” or send to all users in multiple segments. If you select the later, you’ll get the option to select multiple segments which you want to include as well as the segments whose users you want to exclude.
  • You can personalize your tracking preferences by enabling or disabling the following features: Deduplicate Users, Frequency Capping, Conversion Tracking, and UTM Parameters.These options contribute to a more refined evaluation of your marketing campaign's effectiveness.
  1. Now click on “continue to content”.
  2. A new modal shall appear where you have to choose amongst the previously defined whatsapp templates. Choose a template as per the requirement of your campaign or else create a new one.

  1. After selecting a template, a new modal will emerge, presenting the campaign content. Here you can check the content of the template selected. Additionally, this modal includes a "Variables" section which has a user tag icon. Clicking on the user tag provides access to a variety of tokens for message personalization. In this instance, the "system->name" token has been utilized to populate the name of the user in place of the variable token {{$1}}.   1. Now click on continue to review.
  2. Review section consists of complete inforation of the campaign such as name, labels applied, tracking options settings, and the content of the selected template.

  1. You can click on edit and make changes. Also you can click on the “send test message” option to send messages to a few mobile numbers or to a test segment.

Note

Separate the mobile numbers by comma when opting to send testing messages to multiple mobile numbers.

  1. Now, click on continue to send/schedule.
  2. A new modal shall appear where you can specify the schedule of your campaign i.e. the time zone and campaign distribution.

  • You can select send now or send later option as per your choice
  • Also you can specify the percentage of subscribers you want to send campaigns to with a certain number(s) of hour/day apart.
  1. At last, click on finish.
  2. You will find your created whatsapp campaigns under the campaigns section.

  1. Also, you can perform multiple actions to a particular whatsapp campaign such as you can view analytics of a campaign, edit a campaign which is not scheduled, duplicate and delete a campaign.
