Introduction to NVECTA MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Modified on Wed, 21 Jan at 3:20 AM

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that allows AI assistants to securely connect with external platforms like NVECTA. Instead of AI tools only generating text or suggestions, MCP enables them to work directly with real data and perform actions.

Why it matters?

With NVECTA’s MCP support, you can connect your customer demographics and behavioral data to multiple AI platforms. Once connected, the AI assistant can access NVECTA data and help you take action without manual steps or repetitive configuration.

This is especially useful when you want answers grounded in real customer behaviour, such as “Which traffic source drives the most form submissions?” and then want to act immediately, such as “Create a segment of visitors who didn’t submit and follow up with an email.

It removes the need to manually check each report or perform repetitive actions yourself. Instead, you can let AI handle analysis and execution automatically, using the AI model you prefer. NVECTA supports MCP across major AI platforms, so you’re not locked into a single assistant, you can choose the one you prefer most.

What you can do with NVECTA via MCP

In simple terms, MCP allows an AI assistant to interact with your NVECTA account in a secure and controlled way.

Through MCP, an AI assistant can:

  • Read data from NVECTA, such as events, analytics, and campaign performance
  • Take actions in NVECTA, such as creating segments, building funnels, preparing campaigns or journeys

You can simply interact in natural language to perform such actions.

Common use cases include:

Analytics & Insights

  • View analytics such as events, trends, and overall campaign performance
  • Build funnels and save insights for reporting and analysis
  • Review NPS survey and feedback data to understand customer sentiment

Segmentation

  • Create and refine user segments in real time based on behavioral and demographic user properties

Campaigns

  • Draft and schedule engagement campaigns across:
  • Email
  • SMS
  • Web Push
  • App Push
  • WhatsApp

Automated Journeys

  • Build or trigger personalized journeys using real-time user actions and attributes

NVECTA Knowledgebase

  • Ask questions in natural language and get instant, contextual answers from NVECTA's guides

Because NVECTA combines a CDP with engagement capabilities, MCP enables the full loop: data insight action, driven by AI.

Supported AI platforms

NVECTA provides MCP connectors for multiple AI platforms. The MCP concept remains the same across all of them, the only difference is how you connect NVECTA within each platform’s interface.

We provide dedicated setup guides for each supported platform:
